About this event

Business • Career

The Level 4 Certificate for Protective Security Advisers is offered by SFJ Awards, following a collaboration with the Protective Security Centre (Home Office). It is also endorsed by all three of the government’s National Technical Authorities; the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA), the UK National Authority for Counter Eavesdropping (NACE), and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

Trident Manor Training Academy is the first training provider to be accredited specifically to deliver this programme.

This qualification is suitable for anybody seeking the skills and knowledge needed to carry out the role of a Protective Security Adviser, or to enhance their professional competencies in understanding how protective security disciplines dovetail to provide effective ‘security convergence’.

Please Note: This programme will only be delivered in a blended learning style comprising in-person sessions, online remote sessions and self-study. To ensure that delegates gain the practical skills they will need to become effective Protective Security Advisers, they are required to complete in-person exercises. Therefore, we will not be offering this programme entirely online.

Programme Content

Please find attached a link to the programme schedule, here.

The 3-month programme consists of three 4-day sessions at the Darlington training facility, with four weeks of remote learning and self study in between.

Assessment

This programme requires delegates to proactively participate during in-person and remote lessons, and their willingness to self-study and complete assignments in a timely manner.

This detailed assessment process is to ensure delegates possess the necessary skills and competencies to become an effective Protective Security Adviser.
