Event description
Can Early Years be the Bridge to Helping Combat Loneliness and Isolation in Local Communities?

About this Event

The 2019 Margaret Horn lecture will focus on what we can do to help address the loneliness epidemic with a debate titled: "Can Early Years be the Bridge to Helping Combat Loneliness and Isolation in Local Communities?"

Our panel will include those who advocate how the generations can work together, young and old. Come and join in the debate. Come to a place where we are putting warmth, connection and kindness at the heart in a world where division, mistrust and intolerance has the upper hand at the moment.

The debate will be chaired by Sir Al Aynsley-Green, with panellists including:

• Claire Harding, Head of Research, Coram Family and Childcare

• Hannah Goreing and Dawn Kendall, Power2

• Norma Raynes, Chief Executive, From Generation to Generation

Drinks and nibbles will be provided, with time to network before we start the debate at 7pm. This year we are charging a small fee for tickets to help us cover the running costs of the event.

We hope to see you there!
