Reconsidering comparative approaches&#x27; In this exciting new e-book, sixteen researchers from across the humanities and social sciences come together to reflect on comparison, and the role that it can play in research and practice today. Liberating Comparisons starts from the premise that comparative approaches are a potentially powerful means of disrupting and deepening our understandings of the world, pushing us to adapt existing theories and build new ones. In order to realise this potential, however, we need to think critically about the terms of our comparisons and how we pursue them.Through a series of accessible, engaging chapters, the book&#x27;s contributors offer honest reflections and timely insights into the potential of comparison, and its limits. Their discussions drawn on examples from Chile, India, Italy, Nigeria, South Africa, the UK, and the US.Liberating Comparisons is an invaluable resource for researchers and practitioners.
