Join us for a creative, collaborative exploration with libraries open data. We're looking for librarians, policy makers, researchers, data people, developers, community groups, activists, parish/town councils and anyone else with an interest in the changing role of libraries to help us find new opportunities and build new partnerships.

This is the first public event in a two year project to better understand the current and future impact of libraries and we'll be looking to make the most of existing library data, identify new sources and think big. You won't need any technical expertise, just a passion for libraries and their potential.

Open data is data that anyone can access, use or share. ODI Devon is part of the Open Data Institute who have a good explanation of what open data is, how it can be used and the benefits it can bring.
