Come and explore the Library Makerspace and its hand-on approach to developing learning skills.

Come and explore the <a href="https://library.leeds.ac.uk/info/99042/makerspace" title="https://library.leeds.ac.uk/info/99042/makerspace" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Library Makerspace</a> and how it is uses creativity and hands-on, experiential learning pedagogies to support students and staff skills, enterprise and wellbeing. This come-and-play session offers the opportunity to try some hands-on creative activities using the Makerspace’s equipment and resources. Library Makerspace colleagues will share their experiences, the challenges and opportunities that creative innovation spaces like this can offer to enhance learning for all. We will offer practical insights for those wishing to introduce creative and experiential learning in their own teaching, particularly in subject areas not traditionally associated with making and makerspaces.&nbsp; This session is open to all colleagues, particularly those interested in integrating more hands-on, experiential learning into their teaching. Facilitators: The session will be led by the Library Makerspace Specialist, <a href="https://library.leeds.ac.uk/staff/59/andy-holland" title="https://library.leeds.ac.uk/staff/59/andy-holland" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dr Andy Holland</a> with support from our <a href="https://library.leeds.ac.uk/info/99042/makerspace" title="https://library.leeds.ac.uk/info/99042/makerspace" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Library Makerspace</a> Student Innovation Partners.&nbsp;
