Event description

Description

Come and join us and benefit from our pain........

We are aiming to build on the experiences of those who have undergone significant building change to create a set of ‘lessons learnt’ by the end of the session. In particular we will look at what to consider when planning spaces, a list of the dos and don’ts around the process of building change and to share experience for the future. The list will be released on the MSDG web site as a tool to help others dealing with building change.

This session will include case studies of Coventry and Newman Libraries with a tour of the Coventry building, as well as guest speakers from Associated Architects, Birmingham. Associated Architects have been involved in a number of Library building and refurbishment projects including Coventry’s Lanchester Library.

The event will be led by:

  • Kirsty Kift, Assistant Director (Customer Experience and Service Innovation), Coventry University
  • Christine Porter (Director of Library & Learning Services) and David Crozier (Library Service Delivery Manager), Newman University
  • Guest speakers: Associated Architects
