LHSG is a non-profit charitable organisation promoting safety and health in London 😀

Organized by

Our members live and work, predominantly in and around London. They represent public and private organisations such as central and local government, commercial and manufacturing companies, in addition to specialist consultants.

Many members are full-time health and safety specialists but the Group also welcomes anyone who has a keen interest in health and safety matters, such as Facilities Managers, Personnel Managers, Quality Managers, etc.

To promote the very best occupational health and safety standards, the Group organises monthly meetings from September to June. At the meetings, a guest speaker will present their ideas and experiences on a topic of current interest. This is followed by an opportunity for the audience to reflect and explore the presented concepts.

In addition, there is ample opportunity for networking. Our members are usually open to sharing experiences and discussing challenging situations.

Membership of the Group can help you keep up to date. The presentations are aimed at introducing new concepts and reviewing pending government regulations. This can help make you aware of what is currently considered to be best practice.

To join the Group, please complete an Application Form or come along to one of our meetings. Visitors are always most welcome. The application form shows the current subscription rates for the three grades of Membership.

We are a fully independent group managed by an Executive Committee in accordance with a Constitution. The previous Chairmen, Secretaries, Treasurers and Honorary Members are recorded on the Roll of Honour.

The Alan Butler Award for Excellence is a scheme run by RoSPA to encourage and reward excellent standards of achievement. Our group won the Best Programme Award in 2001, 2004 and 2005.
