Lighten our Darkness, our Advent seminar will begin with an overview of the history, structure and content of the Prayer Book service of Evensong led by The Revd Ian Forrester, a musician, liturgist and Vicar of Boxgrove Priory in the Diocese of Chichester. 

This will be followed by two devotional addresses on the Magnificat and the Nunc Dimittis. The first given by The Revd Canon Dr Philip Anderson, Precentor of Liverpool Cathedral and the second by The Revd Dr Sarah Brush, lecturer in Pastoral Theology at Cuddesdon College. Each will be followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion.

In the final session, we will hear about some of the new Evensong initiatives which are growing new congregations in parishes all over the country. The afternoon will conclude with Evensong.
