This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the first people to be a part of our Common Threads project, a chance to share your own story and heritage.
Through Calico and Prussian Blue, we invite partcipants to explore the local historical relevance of both material and colour, inspired by it's uses and production. These are hugely significant to the story of the River Lea. We invite you to join us as we begin to explore and delve into their visual histories and archives.
We will be asking particpants to share their own heritage stories, to be immortalised on this community piece. How did you arrive here? What mementoes, memories, heirlooms, images or artefacts are important to you?
This project will include opportunities to use old skills and learn new ones regarding fabric, dyeing and it's uses.
This will be be displayed on 'The Boat House', a new exhibition space opening at Cody Dock in 2026.
We look forward to welcoming you!
