Liminal Thinking is the latest book by <A TARGET="_blank" CLASS="external-link" HREF="http://xplaner.com/bio/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dave Gray</A>, which will be published later this year. In this, his third book on design, change and innovation, Dave discusses how transformation (e.g. organisational change) requires that we break free from our current mindset and self-sealing logic. Individuals as well as organisations are all victims of habitual thinking patterns that construct certain beliefs that leave us blind to understanding situations from alternative perspectives. In times like these, where our society and industries are facing constant change, blindly following our existing mindsets can lead to strategic drift for organisations and make individuals even more narrow-minded. Instead, we need to challenge our beliefs and mindsets by being more curious and reflective about how we think. Dave Gray has developed 6 principles and 9 practices, which can help anyone develop liminal thinking and understand, shape and reframe our own beliefs. During this preview event, Dave will discuss the foundation for his forthcoming book and introduce the principles and practices, which people can use to develop their liminal thinking.
