This workshop will take you through the LinkedIn essentials, leaving you well prepared to update your own LinkedIn profile. 
Using industry best practice, we'll show you: 
- how to tailor your privacy settings and control how people approach you
- how to enhance your profile for job searching or profile building
- how to choose the right profile picture and why it is so important 
- how to extend your network strategically to boost your opportunities
- how employers and recruiters use LinkedIn

Arrival at the venue
Please note that the Camden Arts Centre Main Entrance on Arkwright Road opens at 10am.   
If you arrive before 10am, you may wish to wait in the Arts Centre Café which is accessed from the Finchley Road side of the venue (up the steps, through the garden).  It is open from 9am onwards.  You are very welcome to order a tea or coffee and bring your drink with you to the workshop. Once the venue opens at 10am, please make your way to the Meeting Room (on the same level, turn left after exiting the Café).  
** Note: As a courtesy to our venue, please do not bring your own food or drinks on to the premises. **
About the Presenter
Kath Sloggett, founder of <A HREF="http://runnethlondon.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Runneth London</A>, is a Career Coach and start-up expert From a corporate background, she now has over 10 years’ experience advising professionals and entrepreneurs. She has a practical and pragmatic style and has successfully helped many professionals return to work or change careers. Kath has a natural affinity for empowering people and boosting confidence.
Kath regularly presents career workshops and talks to corporate clients and at professional organisations such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ANZ).

Can I bring my child?
In order for everyone to get the most out of this workshop, we prefer for it to be child-free. However, we are parents ourselves and know that sometimes the best-laid plans go awry, so if your childcare falls through and you want to bring a small baby, do call us on 020 7043 2292 to discuss. Unfortunately, the venue isn't suitable for crawlers or toddlers. 
 
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Camden Arts Centre is on the corner of Arkwright Road and Finchley Road, Hampstead. It is a 6 minute walk from Finchley Road tube station, or you can take the bus one stop (bus 13 or 113).  It is also well served by other buses along Finchley Road. 
 
What should I bring to the event?
Please bring paper and a pen to write notes.  Please also have your LinkedIn profile available during the workshop, either via the LinkedIn website or app or, if you prefer, you can create a download of your profile and print it out. 
As a courtesy to our venue, please do not bring your own food or drinks on to the premises.   There is a café on site.
