LinkedIn is increasingly by individuals, employers and recruiters, with over 20 million UK users to date.   But many of us, particularly if we've been on a career break in recent times, don't know how to make the most of this powerful career tool. 
Like it or not, in today's climate, you need a LinkedIn profile. And it needs to be optimised to ensure you stand out from the crowd and don't miss out on potential career opportunities.  
So join our LinkedIn Workshop and get ahead of the game - have your LinkedIn profile ready to make an impact. 
This workshop will take you through the LinkedIn essentials, leaving you well prepared to update your own LinkedIn profile.   Beginners welcome! 
Using industry best practice, we'll show you: 
- how to tailor your privacy settings and control how people approach you
- how to choose the right profile picture and why it is so important 
- how to extend your network strategically to boost your opportunities
- how employers and recruiters use LinkedIn
Share your LinkedIn profile with us before the course for some tailored tips.
Don't worry if you don't already have a LinkedIn page, you will learn all you need to know to get started!

 FAQs
Is there wheelchair access? 
Unfortunately not. The workshop will be held downstairs at The Sir John Balcombe Pub.  There is no lift. 
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
The Sir John Balcome is a Public House, therefore attendees must be 18 or over.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The Sir John Balcombe is just a few minutes walk from both Marylebone and Baker Street Tube Stations on the Bakerloo Line.  
Parking is available in Resident Parking bays, and on single yellow lines, after 6.30pm. Check signs for details.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please bring paper and a pen to write your notes.  Laptop or tablet optional.  There will be a large screen used for the presentation.
