This event is part of <a href="https://creativityandwellbeing.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Creativity &amp; Wellbeing Week</a> (16-22 May 2022), a partnership between London Arts &amp; Health and the<a href="https://culturehealthandwellbeing.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Culture, Health &amp; Wellbeing Alliance</a>.#LinkWorkerManifestoIt was never the intention to create a manifesto. The thoughts, feelings and words of a group of Derbyshire Link Workers emerged during an artist-led support programme, Cultural Prescriptions, that was specially designed for Link Workers by Arts Derbyshire, during the pandemic lock downs. During this national launch of the Manifesto, we will hear from some of the Link Workers involved, alongside Deborah Munt from Arts Derbyshire who devised Cultural Prescriptions, and from Public Health in Derbyshire County Council, who commissioned the work. A panel of invited guests, representing health and culture, will then give their responses to the Manifesto, including Dr Marie Polley (Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Social Prescribing Network) and Richard Ings (London area lead on arts in health, wellbeing and criminal justice, Arts Council England)...Through making space and making things with artist Kate Genever, the important stuff surfaced...conversations about practice, possibilities and needs. The Link Worker Manifesto is a co-produced manifestation of those conversations. It is an expression of why this group of Link Workers believe their role exists; what they think the potential of their practice is and what they need in order to achieve that potential. As Social Prescribing fundamentally relies on cross-sector, collaborative working, in which the medical model sits alongside the social, the Manifesto is ultimately intended as a provocation to ask whether there is real collective vision for this work is and to question whether we are all on the same page, locally, regionally and nationally. #LinkWorkerManifesto

We provide networked, collaborative advocacy, support and resources, supporting health and wellbeing for all through creative and cultural practice.
