About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes
  • Ages 18+

Learn the basics of lino printing with Rachel Holborow of RK Wanderings printmaking - an experienced teacher, member of York Printmakers and York Open Studios artist.

In this three and a half hour workshop you will learn about the tools and materials of lino printmaking; design your own lino block (you can bring an idea (A6 drawing, high contrast photo, or collage) of what you might like to print) and carve your block; then experiment with printing it. We will use oil based inks, which are non-toxic and easy to clean up.

There will be a maximum of 4 participants and you must be over 18 to take part.

Be aware, you will use sharp tools at your own risk! (Safety tips will be covered at the beginning of the workshop and must be adhered to.)

All materials for the workshop are included in the price, and you can take home the lino block you carve and your prints will be sent to you when dry (usually about a week). Please bring your own apron.

Total cost for this 3 and 1/2 hour workshop is £38 which includes workshop materials, use of equipment and tuition + tea and biscuits. Please let me know allergen requirements at least 48 hours prior to the workshop via email holborowrachel@gmail.com
