Discover the magic of reading with Minecraft.
Litcraft invites young people to engage with literary worlds through Minecraft, the popular brick-world-building computer game. 
In Litcraft sessions young people will read and discuss Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo or Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson and then use ipads to visit to either of the Islands in Minecraft.
The Minecraft islands have tasks to complete based on what the children have been reading, from helping the orangutans to keeping an in-game journal or from taming a parrot to keeping an in-game journal and much more. 
Litcraft is a great way to engage a reluctant reader with literary classics and introduces a whole new way to enjoy literature in a digital environment. 
Aimed at ages 8-12. Although slightly younger or older children and young people are invited to attend. 
We advise you to sign up for the series but don't worry if you miss the odd session.
