Algorave workshop with Joanne Armitage and Coral Manton.

Algoraves are about dancing to live music made with code, and over the last few years have become a global club culture phenomenon. This workshop will focus on live-coding music and visuals using open-source software.

The workshop will be inclusive, no experience of coding is required.

Please bring your own laptop and headphones.

This workshop is being sponsored by Women Rock / SR2: Socially Responsible Recruitment and Sundog Media Toolkit and run as part of University of Bristol Data Week.

Women Rock is a Bristol Initiative run by Alicia Teagle, Co-Founder of SR2 and is a platform to give local women a voice. They work with women both in and out of work, as well as students and entrepreneurs and speak to companies about what they are doing to attract, retain and promote female talent in the South West with the intention of creating a community of strong women in Bristol, a city that champions diversity.


SR2 are an IT recruitment specialist focused typically within the digital transformation space on both a contract and permanent basis. They gift time by volunteering as well as donating 5% of their profits to local charities.


Sundog Media Toolkit is a Bristol based software compnay specialising in tools for the movie and television production sector.
