Join us for a unique screening of film footage of Liverpool from the Victorian age to the 1980s.

The films include:

  • the earliest known footage of Victorian Liverpool
  • Sefton Park in the 1930s
  • Liverpool during World War 2
  • a 1950s street party
  • the city in the Swinging ’60s
  • the 1980s – including the International Garden Festival

From the archives of the late Angus Tilston MBE, amateur filmmaker, collector and producer. The films will be presented by Angus's daughter, Nicki Wilkinson. A free local history reading list will be available for the audience to take home.

This event is supported by RILCH, Liverpool John Moores University and Liverpool City Coucil. Ticket profits will be donated to Smithdown in Bloom.

The venue is accessible for wheelchair users, including toilet facilities.
