About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Join Zoe Goldsmith, Principal Ecologist and Biodiversity Officer for Winchester City Council, for an evening stroll along Whiteshute Ridge above Badger Farm. This ridge of chalk downland, popular with local residents, is a designated Local Wildlife Site. You will be able to enjoy the lovely views towards the centre of Winchester as Zoe shows us why the downland is so important for a great variety of wildlife. Zoe will explain the role of traditional breeds of cattle grazing the downland as part of the management plans by Winchester City Council to restore and maintain the amazing biodiversity of Whiteshute Ridge.
