About this event

  • 2 hours

Marwell Wildlife is situated within the South Downs National Park and the land includes precious semi-natural ancient woodland and chalk grassland. Carla Broom, Ecologist for Marwell Wildlife will take us on a walk and talk through the beautiful woodlands. In springtime the woods are teeming with wild flowers, while birds, butterflies, and other insects are busy finding food. Along the walk Carla will talk about the management of the woods to conserve the area for nature whilst at the same time gaining the benefits of hay production and the use of woodland products, demonstrating responsible custodianship. Carla will also answer any questions you may have during the walk.
