Join us for an evening walk with HIWWT Reserve Officer: Bea Walecki around the bottom of the delightful St Catherine’s Hill in Winchester to enjoy and learn to identify some chalk downland wildflowers. Dave Pearson will be on hand to help identify any birds, butterflies or dragonflies that might be heard or seen along the way.
Please be ready to set off 6pm prompt, in order to avoid heading back in the dark!

Location:
We will be meeting in the Car Park on Garnier Road, use the East Winchester Park & Ride right next to junction 10 off the M3 if there is no space.

Exit the M3 at J10, at Bar End Roundabout take the FIRST exit onto Garnier Road and then the very first turning on the right into East Winchester Park & Ride.
IMPORTANT: For satnav, ensure it is taking you to East Winchester Park & Ride and NOT Barfield Park & Ride.
Once you have entered the East Winchester P&R area, head down to the P&R roundabout and take the first exit, by the St Catherine’s Public Toilets. Keep straight ahead and we will be meeting at the very end, in parking area 5.
What to Bring:
• Appropriate clothing for walking outside for the weather on the day
• Comfortable and sturdy walking boots
• A hand lens could prove useful if you have one
• Binoculars might be useful
• Pen and paper
The walk is approximately 2.5 miles and over mixed terrain including some rough and potentially muddy ground.
