Loch Lomond Shores is close to the A82 at Balloch, Loch Lomond, it is also accessible by train from Glasgow, bike on NCN7 Lochs & Glens Way + Route 40 and by bus. Located just within the National Park makes it a gateway for Loch Lomond and The Trossachs.

?How to get here by Train

We are just a 10-minute flat walk from Balloch Train Station. Direct trains run regularly from Glasgow Queen Street (Low Level) and take approximately 50 minutes.

? How to get here by car

Accepted Answer

Use sat-nav Post Code G83 8QL. We are located just off the A82, approx 40-minute drive from Glasgow. Follow signs for Crianlarich, and look out for the Stoneymollan roundabout—that's your cue to turn right for Balloch.

?️ How to I use the new Use the "Pay on Arrival" Parking

Accepted Answer

As soon as you park, head to one of our machines or use the mobile app (details are on the signs) to pay for your stay.  Charges range from 50p up to £4 for the full day, which goes straight back into maintaining and upgrading our beautiful 5-star site facilities.

?  Can I bring my dog along?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! We are always a dog-friendly site!  We just ask that all dogs be kept on a short lead and that you pick up after them. Please note that while they can join you in the festival areas and most shops, only assistance dogs are allowed inside the SEA LIFE Centre & Jurassic Grill.

?  Is the event really free?

YES! There is no admission fee to attend the festival, & watch chef demos. However, parking charges are now in place, funfair rides or workshops will have a small charge, and you may want to purchase some goodies from our artisan market to take home, and street food to keep you fuelled.

? Will there be vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options?

YES! We pride ourselves on having a diverse range of vendors. Many of our street food stalls and artisan producers offer dietary-specific options. Just ask the stallholders on the day!

☔️ What happens if it rains?

Accepted Answer

It’s Scotland - we’re prepared! While the main festival is outdoors, we have plenty of indoor shopping in our mall, and some of our seating areas are covered. The Chef Demos are in a marquee which is fully enclosed with ample seating.

? Are there ATMs on site?

Accepted Answer

We DO have an on-site cash machine, but during busy festival weekends, this can empty quickly, and we have no control over when it gets re-filled,  so it's always best to arrive prepared.

? Do your vendors accept cards?

Accepted Answer

YES - Most of our vendors accept card and contactless payments. However, we recommend bringing some cash just in case, as the signal by the Loch can sometimes be temperamental for card machines!
