Lost and Found in a Book: Creative Writing Workshop

Book Club for Spanish Learners

This is an activity aimed at non-native readers of Spanish who wish to gradually introduce themselves to Hispanic literature and find a friendly and relaxed space for conversation adapted to their level.

Books are full of stories.Not only the ones they tell, but also the ones they sometimes contain within their pages.On the occasion of World Book Day 2024, we will bring back some of these stories in a creative writing workshop.The books themselves and the small forgotten objects inside the library books (a postcard, a note, a receipt, a newspaper clipping, a movie ticket, a train ticket...) will be the beginning of stories that will then be displayed, together with the book in which they were found, in our library.Suitable for students with an intermediate level of Spanish (at least B1).The workshop will be held at the Instituto Cervantes Library in Manchester on April 23rd, 2024 from 5pm to 6pm. Los libros están llenos de historias.No solo las que cuentan, también las que encierran a veces entre sus páginas.Con motivo del Dia Mundial del Libro 2024 recuperamos esas historias en un taller de escritura creativa.Los libros mismos y los pequeños objetos olvidados dentro de los libros de la biblioteca (una postal, una nota, un recibo, un recorte de periódico, una entrada de cine, un billete de tren…) serán el principio de historias que luego serán expuestas, junto al libro en que se encontraron, en nuestra biblioteca.Recomendable un nivel de español a partir de B1.
