Overview

Join Vale Nature Partnership and Liam Olds, Glo i Natur, and explore the coastline around Aberthaw on the hunt for this scarce Beetle.

Join Vale Nature Partnership for a guided exploration of the coastline around Aberthaw, where volunteers will search for the nationally scarce Darkling Beetle alongside Liam Olds of Glo i Natur.

Suitable for beginners, this is a great opportunity to learn more about local wildlife and get involved in hands wildlife surveying.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear, as the terrain is uneven.

This event is part of the Vale Nature Partnership's Lost and Found Species Project, which focuses on surveying and recording under-recorded species across the Vale of Glamorgan while engaging local people through citizen science .

The project aims to give volunteers the skills and confidence to help gather valuable wildlife data, improving our understanding of species distribution and supporting future conservation and habitat management work across the Vale.

The project is funded through the Welsh Government's Local Places for Nature programme.
