A seasonal walk celebrating folklore, customs and rituals for Valentines.

Lovers' Lore Folkwalk:

A short, playful walk through the atmospheric streets of Sandwich, celebrating folklore, customs and rituals for Valentines. An alternative Valentine's Day event suitable for lovers and loved ones of all stripes.

Led by writer, walking artist and psychogeographer Sonia Overall.

What to expect:

• A soul-restoring hot drink on arrival to warm the blood and stir the passions; a glass of celebratory love potion to finish.
• A short walk in easy town-centre terrain, involving some narrow lanes.
• An introduction to themed folklore, customs and traditions.
• Readings, interventions and lighthearted ritual actions.
• A folkish Valentine's card with a difference, to walk with and take home.

Tickets are limited and must be booked in advance. Details of location and logistics will be sent to ticket holders in advance of the walk.

This is a walk outside, subject to the elements. Please dress appropriately for the weather with sensible footwear. The walk will start and finish indoors, with refreshments served under cover. Start and finish venues are in easy walking distance from each other and from public car parks and facilities.

Suitable for consenting adults ages 18+!

NB: The event will go ahead unless weather is so severe as to be unsafe. Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the host.
