About this event
This year, LSBU is hosting a series of events on Sustainability and Climate Action. We are dedicated to protecting our planet and society. We promise to become a university of the future - one that is conscious, one that is responsible and one that is sustainable. We’re proud of the progress we have made, but we're not even close to done!
Our first event, running from 22 - 26 June will focus on Climate, Carbon, Energy and Resources.
NEW: Submit a photo for our virtual exhibition that reflect your time, or feelings, about lockdown/quarantine and the 'pause' in our regular day to day lives. It could be an image you took of a bluer sky, something you created or an act of kindness. We'd love to showcase this in 'The Great Pause - A Virtual Exhibition' taking place on Friday 26 June.
NEW: All keynote speakers now confirmed! See below for details.
NEW: The full programme, with session descriptions, is now available on our What's On pages!
LSBU's own leaders and experts in these fields, along with a host of external influential professionals, will showcase their work, experience and expertise in these fields as they demonstrate their commitment to tackling the major issues in sustainability and climate change. We are thrilled to be joined by representatives from a range of thought-leading organisations
NEW: We interviewed some of our key speakers to ask why they are part of the event, what they are doing to tackle climate issues and what their hopes are for the event series and beyond! You can read their interviews here.
Due to the current situation with Covid-19, this conference will be delivered online. The virtual platform for this and the joining information will be circulated around a week before the event. This will be one link to access all of the sessions and you are free to drop in to the ones that interest you...
