Join us for the launch of the Lucky Dip exhibition, as we celebrate 2022's local artists and bursary recipients.

God's House Tower

You’re invited to the launch of Lucky Dip, a new exhibition which brings together recent works by SO based artists and recipients of ‘a space’ arts Lucky Dip Bursary.Having been awarded the Lucky Dip Bursary – an experimental grant programme first launched in 2021 by GHT’s parent organisation ‘a space’ arts – earlier this year, the exhibition sees eleven SO-based artists take over the award-winning God’s House Tower, in an immersive display of artistic practice and creative exploration. From sculpture to painting, textiles and photography, you can explore a variety of artworks produced by some of the city’s most exciting artists.The artists exhibiting in Lucky Dip 2022 are:Emmanuel Boateng, Dana Dohotaru, Josie Gray, Sonia Jackson, Edgar Lushaju, Katie Moody, Robin Price, Martin Ruddock, Mandy Smith, Wenjun Xie and Dave Hubble.This event is the opportunity to explore the works up close and meet the artists behind the works. You can enjoy an exclusive artist-led tour of the exhibition, as the artists lead you around the gallery spaces and share insights into their works and processes behind the final outcomes. Artist and Lucky Dip Bursary recipient Dave Hubble will also be performing his poetry piece for audiences.The cafe and bar will also be open throughout the evening, serving refreshments. Lucky Dip is on display at God's House Tower from Friday 26th August until Sunday 2nd October. Admission to the exhibition is free.
