Overview
The attacks in Glasgow and Clydeside in WWII, with a particular focus on the bombing campaigns of 1941 and their impact on Clydeside.
The popular narrative that has developed is that this was an attack on Clydebank and that damage that was done in Glasgow was accidental. My research proves the opposite. This narrative has led to people becoming Clydebank centric to the detriment of the deaths and damage did elsewhere. More people died in Glasgow in 3 hours than died in Clydebank in the 2 day attack yet its not memorialised or remembered in Glasgow at all. Even though its the most destructive and highest death toll event to happen in the history of Glasgow.
