Alexandra Hall - Business Development Manager, Slave-Free Alliance

Alexandra has 16 years’ experience in the finance sector in relationship management and business development roles, and has been addressing modern slavery through Hope for Justice’s Abolition community for five years by raising awareness of this global crime and supporting communities to take action. As Slave-Free Alliance’s UK Business Development Manager, she guides businesses on finding tailored solutions to so they can take meaningful steps to address modern slavery and labour exploitation across their operations and supply chains in the UK and globally.

Shirley Goodrick - Senior Advisor - Human Rights in Supply Chains, Slave-Free Alliance

Shirley is a human rights specialist and social auditor, and her experience encompasses addressing human rights in the supply chains of hard and soft goods, from artisan products to large-scale automated production, across Europe and Asia-Pacific. She has witnessed first-hand debt bondage and other forms of modern slavery. Collaboration is key for Shirley, having worked closely with household brands and manufacturers and as part of Ethical Trading Initiative's modern slavery working group and a sportswear migrant working groups. At Slave Free Alliance, she works with large strategic members to build their resilience to modern slavery and labour exploitation across their global operations and supply chains.

Fran Comerford-Cole - Director of Logistics, Cory

Fran is part of the Executive Management Team at Cory, one of the UK’s leading recycling and waste management companies. As Director of Logistics she is responsible for their transfer stations, materials recycling facility, river logistics and ship repair operations -  overseeing approximately 75% of the Cory workforce.  Fran works closely with Cory’s agency labour providers, supply chains and Slave Free Alliance and is a strong advocate for a transparent approach in raising awareness to eliminate the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking.

Steve Lanigan - CEO, ALS People

Steve is CEO at ALS People, one of the fastest growing recruitment agencies in the UK, supplying over 2,000 workers a day to the Recycling, Food and Logistics sectors. ALS provide a responsible and ethical approach to recruitment.  Working in partnership with blue-chip customers to create a flexible workforce strategy - ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of the workforce is given paramount importance.
