Last year, they won the inaugural RAM Nina Drucker Haydn String Quartet Prize, as well as the Harold Craxton Prize, together with pianist Sherri Lun. Most recently, they collaborated with Brett Dean at the Calne Music and Arts Festival, performing Mozart’s B-flat major String Quintet, along with his own arrangement of Mozart’s Church Sonata in D. As Britten Pears Young Artists for 2023-24, they gave a lunchtime recital at Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall at the end of their Chamber Music Residency. In September, they gave four recitals across the Southwestern region of France as part of the Ferrandou Musique concert residency. The Isla String Quartet have previously received coaching from John Myerscough, cellist of the renowned Doric String Quartet, through the RAM Frost Trust Advanced Specialist Strings Ensemble Training Scheme, and have also enjoyed learning from chamber music specialists including Alasdair Beatson, Lawrence Power, Hélène Clement, Ying Xue, and Marc Danel, at the Schiermonnikoog Festival in March this year.

Founded in 1948, Westminster Music Library holds one of the largest public collections of sheet music and music books in the UK. We are part of the Westminster and Kensington &amp; Chelsea BiBorough Library Service, and our materials are free to use and borrow.The library offers regular free events, including weekly lunchtime concerts.
