Introduction
Space Café Luxembourg is an educational and social event organized by ispace Europe aiming to provide an accessible forum for discussions about projects and work being done in space policy, engineering, science and commercialization.
Each event will invite two speakers from the field to do a 15-20 minute presentation about their topic of expertise, followed by questions and networking. Everyone is welcome!

Space Café Luxembourg will be held at Charlotte Luxembourg at 17b Rue des Bains
L-1212 Luxembourg on April 25th, 2018.
Doors open at 18:00 pm and the first speaker starts at 18:30. Tickets can be purchased at the door for €15 or in advance here on Eventbrite for €10. This entrance fee includes a free drink (beer, wine, or soft drink). Seating is limited, advance purchase is highly recommended.
* We are happy to offer a FREE TICKET to the first 20 low income/students who send us an email. This ticket only includes access to the event.

Speaker Bios:

Gary Martin is currently a Senior Advisor to the Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy working in the Space Affairs Directorate focused on promoting space education and space research.
He recently retired from NASA where he worked for 27 years at multiple Centers across the Agency supporting mostly science and human spaceflight missions.  He became NASA’s first Space Architect in 2002, leading strategic planning for the Agency.  His team led the development of the ‘Vision for Space Exploration’ announced by the President in 2004.  His most recent role at NASA was as the Director of Partnerships at NASA Ames in Silicon Valley, where he led the Agency in the creation of public-private partnerships.
As the Director of the Space Studies Program for at the International Space University in Strasbourg, France he led sessions in Strasbourg, Florida and Beijing.
 Mr. Martin holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering/Astronautically Engineering from George Washington University, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Applied Mathematics from Virginia Commonwealth University and Bachelors in Anthropology from Colorado State University.
Andy Bowyer is the co-founder of Magna Parva (old space) in the UK and Kleos Space (new space) in Luxembourg and has been involved in Missions and R&D developments for European Space Agency since 2005.
Kleos Space was spun out of Magna Parva in 2017 to both exploit some market disruptive In-Space Manufacturing technologies capable of making 3D structures potentially km in length in-situ and a precision, global Defence, Security & Commercial geolocation solution. Kleos Space first satellite system will be launching mid-2019 funded by an IPO on the ASX.
