Lynette McHendry MBE Book Launch
Following her diagnosis with bilateral breast cancer and a 3 year cancer journey Lynette McHendry has written her autobiographgy
Lynette McHendry MBE will be launching her autobiography Unbroken The Cancer Journey Which Led Me To My True Self at the Prom cafe in Larne on Thursday 11th June. After years of people telling her she should write a book Lynette finally took pen to paper last September and wrote her autobiography.
Lynettes journey began in 2015 when at the age of 37 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Over a three year period of recurrences, progression, side effect and blood transfusions Lynette is in remission from Stage 4 cancer. She has shared her journey not only the clinical side of cancer but the deeply emotional side, lessons she learned, and to be your own advocate. Lynettes hope is to help others deal with their own cancer diagnosis or help guide family and friends support their loved ones.
Lynette has previously raised money for both Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research and BRCA research at Queens University and would appreciate a small donation of £5 for each ticket with all proceeds going to both charities. Lynette will be donating £1 from the sale of every book she sells for however long they sell to both charities.
