Simply Repair South Lakes holds repair events where you can get clothes, small electricals, furniture, toys and other household items fixed free of charge. We bring together people with skills to repair and those who want to learn how. Our aims at Simply Repair is to reduce waste, share skills, improve wellbeing and build communities.We aim to bring you monthly workshops where you can learn a new skill from local hosts and bring people together to share knowledge and skills.

Learn the basics of this fun and accessible craft as you create your own beautiful, unique macramé wall hanging from all natural materials.

New to macramé? Need a refresher? In this relaxed, friendly workshop you will be introduced to the art and craft of macramé.Jill will guide you step by step as you create a driftwood &amp; macramé wall hanging and you will leave the workshop feeling inspired and confident to continue practicing macramé at home.Suitable for beginners. Our workshops are relaxed, comfortable and open to all. Class sizes are kept small making sure that everyone gets attention and assistance when needed.We will provide:<ul><li>all materials and tools for the macramé</li><li>prepared driftwood pieces</li><li>guided step by step instructions</li><li>organic, Fairtrade hot drinks and palm oil-free biscuits</li></ul>What to bring:<ul><li>a few scraps of colourful yarn, fabric, ribbon to add a pop of colour if you wish</li></ul>Concession ticketsBeing accessible and inclusive to everyone is important to us at Simply Repair. If you want to join us on any of the workshops but financial circumstances prevent this, please get in touch at info@simplyrepair.org.uk so we can help. All requests are confidential, and we offer a no questions asked policy. We will do our best to accommodate but, in the event, where the workshop is already full, we can discuss future options.

Your workshop hostYour host for this workshop is Jillian Ware, founder of Eden Boho Macrame. Jill is an experienced macramé teacher with a relaxed, fun attitude to learning and a particular skill for tapping into the creativity of her students. The venue has plenty of space to remain socially distanced and everyone’s safety is of upmost importance to help everyone enjoy the event with confidence and comfort.Refunds and CancellationsTickets will be refunded if:<ul><li>the event is cancelled</li><li>the event is rescheduled, and you cannot make the new date</li><li>the event changes location, and you cannot attend</li></ul>If you have been charged a booking fee, unfortunately this cannot be refunded.If you are unable to attend please email as soon as possible info@simplyrepair.org.uk and we will access the request on a case by case basis.
