About this course

Macramé is relaxing and therapeutic craft, as it keeps your hands busy and gives your mind time to rest. Pixel Macrame comes from the traditional tapestry knotting also known as Cavandoli macrame.

Within this course you be using mix of macrame cord (2 or 3mm twisted ply cord)– Two Colours will be required, and dowel (Approx 15cm).

You will be using two macrame knots and so this can be very mindful project


What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

  • Develop/improve their eye and hand coordination
  • Be able to measure requirements of cord for a project
  • Understand the basic Macrame Knots and be able demonstrate - Larks Head
  • Understand the basic Macrame Knots and be able demonstrate – Double Half Hitch
  • Analyse the benefits of creative activities to improved mental health
  • Reflect on Learning


Materials Require for learners

  • Small Dowel (approx. 15cm )
  • Macrame Cord – 2 or 3mm ( two colours)
  • Tapestry needle (Large eye)
  • Scissors and tape measure

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
