Maggie's Arcelormittal Orbit Abseil

Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends, following the ideas about cancer care originally laid out by Maggie Keswick Jencks.Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie's centres are places with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need.Our centres are places to find practical advice about benefits and eating well; places where qualified experts provide emotional support; places to meet other people; places where you can simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.The first Maggie’s opened in Edinburgh in 1996 and since then Maggie’s has continued to grow, with 26 centres at major NHS cancer hospitals in the UK and abroad.

Tackle your fears and do something amazing while helping to provide the vital support that people with cancer need.A team of experts from will be on hand to ‘show you the ropes’ and get you down safely. The abseil is open to everyone, no previous experience necessary (over 14s only (14-17 accompanied by an adult), weight limit of 19 stone, unfortunately you cannot take part in the abseil if you are pregnant).Places are limited so register now to secure your place and get a free Maggie's T-shirt.Registration fee and fundraisingReg fee: £35ppFundraising target: £500We ask all participants to raise £500 per person to support people with cancer and their loved ones at Maggie’s. If you have any further questions drop us an email at helen.muir@maggies.org
