Who is this course for?

Accepted Answer

Anyone who either works with, or is a parent or carer of, people with barriers to their language and communication. Makaton is a great way to support understanding and unlock communication for people who have barriers to using spoken language easily.

Question 2

Do I need any previous experience of Makaton?

Accepted Answer

No, this course is a beginners course, and you don't need any prior experience or knowledge. Just bring yourself, open to learn!

Question 3

I have additional needs myself.  Is the course suitable for me?

Accepted Answer

Everyone is welcome! It would be good to have a chat on the phone first though.  Please call me (Anna Parsons) at Cherry Garden School on 020 72374050.  If I am not in school, leave me a message with your number and I will call you back.

Question 4

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Accepted Answer

All course materials are provided, plus tea, coffee and biscuits. If you require non-dairy milk, please bring your own. Lunch is not provided, so please bring a packed lunch, or you can go out to buy lunch from Peckham on the day.
