Make a 'Bath By Candlelight' Kit Workshop

Try three different natural crafts and make a 'Bath by Candlelight' kit to take away!

Join Laura from L & S Crafts at the beautiful Howsham Mill between York and Malton for a fun, informative nature-inspired craft workshop. Over the day you will try three different crafts from our Wild Harvest collection, which will then be used to create a 'Bath by Candlelight' kit to take away.

In the first two sessions you will handpick ingredients to make bespoke natural soaps, using a vegan SLS-free soap base, and a set of cupcake bath bombs. We have a wide range of botanicals, minerals, and oils to choose from so you can tailor everything to your taste and mood. Fancy a herbal bath with rosemary and lavender? Maybe something with citrus oils for a bit of zing? There are hundreds of combinations to explore. We also have a selection of different moulds, so you can get truly creative!

In the third session you will learn about the many benefits of natural beeswax candles. We will show you how to make different styles of rolled beeswax candles, including the classic dinner candle or pillar, and the more unusual spiral candles. You will be able to choose from a selection of natural or coloured pure beeswax sheets to combine with cotton wick to make three tall dinner candles (or equivalent). You will decorate your finished candles with your choice of dried botanicals, gorgeous ribbons and pretty stamped gift tags.

This relaxing workshop is perfect for beginners and all equipment and materials, as well as hot drinks, will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch to enjoy either indoors or outside in the lovely woodland surroundings.

The venue has free parking and composting toilets. Please note Howsham Mill itself is approximately 1/4 mile walk from the carpark along an uneven path. We recommend that you wear comfortable footwear that you don’t mind getting a bit muddy.

Minimum age for participants is 18 years.
