e-Luminate Foundation CIC is a non-for-profit, volunteer-run organisation.Our mission is to connect people with Light to encourage a greater appreciation of its complexities through multidisciplinary workshops and activities at the Light Lab.

‘Make your own Hologram Workshop’ at Makespace is a practical event combining physics, art and chemistry with the unique opportunity to make your favourite object into a one-of-a-kind laser produced hologram.   
You will learn the secrets of practical Holography and the art of making real 3D holograms in your own home. This event is organised by Liza Read of Growing Art Partnerships (GAP) and hosted by Iñaki Beguiristain, one of the few remaining classical holographers in the UK, with over 25 years experience in the field.  • Bring a suitable object* of your choice and see it transformed into a 3D hologram • Take the framed hologram home with you • Each complete session lasts approx. 2 hours
The ticket price is for one person to make one hologram and space is limited. Families are welcome to come and watch (limit 4 persons, age over 10 years) provided only one member is actively involved in the holographic process. Please confirm numbers attending when booking.
A tented gallery display of Liza and Inaki’s holograms will also be on display within the classroom for the participants to examine and interact with while awaiting their turn.
 *The object must be small, bright and solid (so that it does not move at all during exposure). Suitable examples would be keys, coins or jewellery and fit within an area of 4” x 5”.
