About Red:
Adam Morrigan, also known as "Red," is a master craftsman specializing in traditional leatherwork. His journey began in the 1980s, apprenticing with traditional leather workers in London during a time when the trade was in decline. Seeking to deepen his knowledge, Adam studied with indigenous artisans, including the Sami in Sweden and Native American communities, learning age-old techniques and cultural approaches to leathercraft. In the early 2000s, Adam earned City and Guilds qualifications in Delivering Teaching and Learning (DTL) and Provider of Educational Training and Learning (PETL), equipping him to teach in lifelong learning sectors. He subsequently taught at Ruskin Mill in Gloucestershire, instructing students in experiential learning of tanning and leathercraft, emphasizing environmentally conscious, non-industrial practices. Adam's commitment to preserving traditional leatherworking techniques led him to establish "Reds Raw Taw Tan," a venture dedicated to creating high-quality, handcrafted leather goods.
