Learn basic jewellery making techniques and create a your very own sterling silver bangle.
In this workshop you will learn to create your very own sterling silver bangle.
Working first in copper and then with sterling silver we will use traditional jewellery making techniques to create a beautiful bangle for you to wear and take home.
After spending time exploring surface textures on metal, we will learn to cut the metal, size your bangle, add texture the surface, solder and then finish and polish your bangle so that you can wear it home.
The workshop will take place at The Studio at Millbank, Millbank House, Cumnock and a maximum of 8 attendees will take part in the workshop.
Suitable for those aged 16 to 94+, no previous jewellery experience is necessary, all materials are supplied and all tools needed for the class will be provided for use in the workshop.
Loose clothing should be avoided, closed toe shoes should be worn, if you have long hair it should be worn tied back and please remember to bring glasses if needed as we will be working with small objects.
