Sculpture workshop inspired by nature, using recycled  materials and found objects, with Fiona Campbell

East Somerset Railway - Cranmore Station

This workshop is linked to the work on show for Inch by IN:CH, a travelling project touring to East Somerset Railway from 21-31 July. ESR is a heritage steam railway on the Strawberry line. In addition to the workshop, you will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition and see the steam trains in action.Inspired by the incredible variety of natural phenomenon, you will create small colourful 3-d structures using recycled materials and found objects - natural and industrial. Tools and materials will be supplied including copper wire, twine, plant debris and colourful found objects. You will explore form, surface, colour, pattern, material and the concept of waste reduction.There is a materials cost of £5, payable in advance to secure your booking.Suitable for all abilities, ages 8 years - adult.Further Information:Fiona Campbell is an artist and educator. She creates sculptural installations using mainly recycled and found materials. At the root of her work is the notion of interconnectedness throughout nature, with a focus on environmental concerns about human exploitation of nature.
