About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Join us for a special craft workshop celebrating Local History Month and marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day! This event focuses on the theme of VE Day and the Home Front. Participants will have the opportunity to create unique brooches inspired by the era.

Using beautiful fabric, and vintage-style buttons to add a touch of nostalgia, participants will craft unique brooches that blend modern flair with vintage charm. Embracing the principles of 'Make Do and Mend,' this workshop encourages participants to repurpose and upcycle materials, promoting a sustainable approach to crafting - so please do bring your own fabrics along should you wish to. Don't miss out on this chance to transform basic materials into wearable art!

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is perfect for adults (over the age of 16) of all skill levels, whether you're a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner. Come alone or bring a friend—everyone is welcome!

  • Express Your Creativity: Discover the joy of creating something unique with your own hands.
  • Learn New Skills: Gain knowledge and techniques in brooch making.
  • Make New Friends: Connect with fellow craft enthusiasts in a fun and supportive environment.
