Make Play sessions offer a sensory creative space for children aged between 6 months and 5 years, to explore with their parent and/or carer.
Join us for a relaxed, fun session at Modern Art Oxford for babies, toddlers and their grown-ups (aged 6 mths-5yrs) to explore, experiment and get a little messy together.
Each week, our studio transforms into a playful landscape of sensory stations and hands-on activities inspired by our exhibitions. You might find yourself mixing colourful “potions” with petals and herbs, building worlds from sand and clay, creating marbled prints to take home, or playing with light, shadow and unexpected materials.
Each Tuesday has a morning session (11am-12pm) and afternoon session (1pm-2pm). Saturdays have one morning session (11am-12pm).
Ticketing Information
We're offering these tickets on a pay-what-you-can basis (£4.50 / £6.50 / £8.50), with higher-price options helping to support Modern Art Oxford as a charity and keep events like this accessible to more people.
Booking is essential, and one ticket admits one child and one parent/carer. To ensure all our visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience, we are monitoring numbers in the building, so if you are one adult with more than one child you will need to book multiple tickets.
Accessibility
We offer a range of facilities to ensure we are accessible to visitors. Please click here to find out more about visiting Modern Art Oxford. If you have any questions about your visit, please get in touch at info@modernartoxforg.org.uk. All activities are suitable for wheelchair users or those using mobility aids.
