Make your own Compost

Overview

Compost Master class: covering Bokashi, wormery, leaf-mould and general garden composting processes.

A chance to get answers to all those compost questions! 

We’ll be exploring 4 different ways to compost using raw food waste, cooked food waste, brown leaves and all your garden green waste. Techniques for everyone - whatever size of space you have to work in. Understand those fungal and bacterial processes and you can speed up your compost times ☺


Wheelchair accessible site. 

Tools supplied. Please wear suitable clothing for wet and cold weather.

Tea and coffee provided. Toilets are available in the nearby Homerton library. 

This workshop is in partnership with Eco Active, supported by Hackney Council.


Core Landscapes transforms underused green spaces to promote positive mental health and to address the climate change and biodiversity emergencies. It is a Core Arts project.


Core Landscapes gardeners enjoy finding creative solutions to sustainable growing practises, utilising up-cycling, recycling and organic gardening principles to make gardens anywhere.
