We bring together people with skills to repair and those who want to learn how. You'll love this afternoon of creativity as we transform recycled and found materials into deeply personal journals that you'll treasure.J﻿unk journals take journalling to the next level: the book itself is a creative expression of who you are, and the pages include mementoes and prompts chosen by you.Together we will each create a personal journal from scratch: cover, pages, secret pockets, bookmarks and hand-bound finishes.This relaxed pace, small group workshop is designed for beginners. You will leave feeling inspired to continue journal making and journalling at home.We will provide:<ul><li>a selection of materials and a﻿ll the tools you need for journal making</li><li>guided step-by-step instructions</li><li>organic, Fairtrade hot drinks and palm oil-free biscuits</li></ul>What to bring<ul><li>Scrap paper, greetings cards, gift wrap, etc. that you can use use to build your junk journal.</li><li>Any meaningful papers, fabrics, ribbons, mementoes that you would like to incorporate into your journal.</li></ul>Concession ticketsBeing accessible and inclusive to everyone is important to us at Simply Repair. If you want to join us on any of the workshops but financial circumstances prevent this, please get in touch at info@ simplyrepair.org.uk so we can help. All requests are confidential, and we offer a no questions asked policy. We will do our best to accommodate but, in the event, where the workshop is already full, we can discuss future options.

Your hostY our host for this workshop is local artist and creative practitioner Amy Stretch-Parker. Amy works in a variety of media - mostly recycled materials, found natural objects and textiles - to create deeply personal pieces. Her workshops and practice focus on mental wellbeing through creative expression and reflection. Amy has worked in creativity for wellbeing for over 15 years as a music tutor and visual arts creative practitioner both freelance and in arts organisations.

Refunds and Cancellations Tickets will be refunded if:<ul><li>the event is cancelled</li><li>the event is rescheduled, and you cannot make the new date</li><li>the event changes location, and you cannot attend</li></ul>If you have been charged a booking fee, this cannot be refunded.Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds if:<ul><li>you can no longer attend the event due to personal circumstances</li><li>you have changed your mind about attending the event</li></ul>If you are unable to attend please email as soon as possible info@simplyrepair.org.uk and we will access the request on a case by case basis.About Simply Repair South LakesWe hold repair events where you can get small electricals, clothes, furniture, toys and other household items fixed free of charge.
