Come and make your own book at South Square!
Join us in this family friendly workshop where youwill learn how to bind pages together using Japanese stab stitch technique to create your own book. Fill it with stories, drawing or lists - whatever you like as it’s your own creation!
The workshop will last 2 hours, all materials provided. Artist Zoe Maxwell will be leading the workshop and guiding you step by step as to how to thread the pages together. There will be an option to use pre-punched pages for those that just want to get going, or plain pages for anyone wanting to start right at the beginning.
Once the book has been constructed there will be a range of materials for you to personalise the book. Decorate the cover with drawing and collage, make it your own! At the end of the session everyone will go home with a handcrafted book from front cover to back.
All children attending need to be supervised by an adult, adults are more than welcome to join in. Please buy a ticket for anyone participating in the workshop.
