The Nottinghamshire Festival of Science and Curiosity is a two week long event that brings STEM to Nottinghamshire citizens through project with schools, the public and communities.

Join this rocket building workshop. Your Mission: Build your own rocket and blast off!

Retford Library

Build your own rocket using paper, tape and your own engineering skills and then launch it to see how well it flies.In this 45 minute workshop, you&#x27;ll think about the different factors that will make your rocket fly high - its aerodynamic design, the angle at which it is launched and getting the perfect amount of force to make it fly high into the sky.There are two slots throughout the day - 10am and 11am. Each workshop will accommodate 20 people and booking is essential; please book tickets for accompanying adults. The workshop is most suitable for children aged 7+.Accessibility: This workshop will take place in Retford Library which has wheelchair-friendly access both outside and inside.
