About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes

Learn the essentials of this traditional soap-making technique at our informal, hands-on, workshop.

We'll demonstrate the whole process and talk you through the chemistry, the safety elements and the ingredients as well as scents, colours and designs, before you get stuck in and make your own soap to take home with you.

This workshop is open to anyone over the age of 12, though 12 - 16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.

No experience neccessary. We will provide all the materials, but if you happen to have

  • rubber gloves
  • safety glasses
  • a stick blender
  • a towel and an old shoebox (or similar) to take your soap home in

please bring them along

We are a community-led social enterprise which aims to make Dundee a more sustainable, healthier and happier place to live through various climate focussed projects. Many people are aware of the threats that climate change poses - but we are here to show there is hope, there are lots of things we can do to tackle it together and to make sure nobody is left behind in the transition to a more sustainable future.
