Maker{Library) Award Launch

The Maker{Futures} programme will enable you to set up makerspaces or run maker sessions in a range of spaces, providing playful and creative ways to develop digital and STEM skills through a STEAM approach that integrates science, technology, engineering and mathematics with the arts. We offer continuing professional development resources, downloadable guides and the opportunity to book a visit from our mobile makerspace – Maker{Move}.

A library is a great place for a makerspace! Maker{Futures} helps libraries launch making initiatives, from pop-up activities to creating a permanent makerspace.We are delighted to announce the launch of our award for libraries that are making space for maker activities.A maker activity is a hands-on, creative process that involves designing, building, or crafting something using a combination of tools, materials, and skills. These activities are rooted in the ethos of the maker movement, which values exploration, innovation, and the sharing of knowledge.If your library already offers opportunities for making or you are interested in setting up your own makerspace or clubs, join us for this FREE webinar to find out how to get started.
