Making Better Decisions with Open Data

iNetworkenables local public service organisations, individually and collectively, to deliver more innovative, high quality and cost effective services to their customers, patients and communities. iNetwork does this by creating safe spaces for local public service organisations to collaborate to innovate and hosting a range of events and other activities, such as the events listed on our Eventbrite page. <H2>What is this about?</H2>
Sheffield has a vibrant open data community and a council that is creating the environment and infrastructure to enable the benefits of open data to be realised. This event will showcase what has been achieved in Sheffield and further afield across the local public sector. 
The purpose of the event is to engage and energise decision-makers working in or with NHS, local authorities and social housing by illustrating the benefits of opening up data, and explaining how, through publishing open data, better outcomes can be delivered for residents, patients, businesses, voluntary and public services.

We are lining up some fabulous speakers including:
John Curtis, Sheffield City Council will chair the event, welcoming delegates to the conference.
John Mothersole, Chief Executive, Sheffield City Council on the event opening.
Alasdair Rae, Senior Lecturer, Sheffield University on Bridging the gap between data and knowledge: some examples.

<H2>Who should attend?</H2>
This event is aimed at anyone who is interested in ways better decisions can be made by using open data, including (but not restricted to) decision makers, open data practitioners, data owners and data handlers, insight and intelligence practitioners from local authorities, NHS and social housing organisations. Suggested job titles include: Service Unit Manager, Policy Officer, Business Analyst, Informatics Lead, Open Data Officer, Head of Customer Services etc. 
 
<H2>The small print: </H2>
It is expected that this event will be at capacity so therefore please register for this event if you plan to attend. Unregistered attendees risk being turned away on the day. 
Name badges will be printed according to the information that is entered on the registration screen. Please ensure you use proper case. If you are registering for other people please enter their full details otherwise they will not have name badges or be on the entry list and therefore may also not be able to enter.
If you need to cancel, please do this asap by contacting the organiser so that your ticket can be released to someone else. 
Paid tickets are non-refundable but are freely transferable.
