Making Homes Warmer Forever

Making Homes Warmer Forever

Overview

Overview of the opportunities for improvement in our homes to make them warmer forever

The UK has set an ambitious target of becoming ‘Net Zero’ by 2050. To achieve this,

almost every residential home in the country will need to adopt energy efficient

improvements.

The upside to this is that there has never before been more funding available to

support residents to make their homes warmer, forever, at a low (or no) cost. It’s the

mission of Energy Projects Plus to let everybody know about these opportunities,

and help residents to adopt them.

There are over a million residential households within the area we cover, so

wherever possible, we need to empower residents to help themselves. We can then

focus on supporting residents who would be unable to navigate the retrofit

landscape without our assistance.

That’s where our Making Homes Warmer, Forever training comes in. This short interactive session will provide you with an overview of the opportunities for improvement in our homes, the likely costs and savings (financial and carbon), and the current grants and schemes that can support some households to achieve these improvements free, or at a reduced cost.

Session Outline:

  • Who is Energy Projects Plus?
  • What does ‘Net Zero’ really mean?
  • How to assess a home’s energy efficiency
  • The main ‘retrofit’ upgrades we recommend
  • Current grants and schemes
  • How Energy Projects Plus can help
  • Your questions answered
